COVID-19 Vaccinations in Tiaro QLD
Bopple Surgery offers COVID-19 vaccinations and booster doses for eligible patients at our Tiaro medical centre. Vaccines are administered by our experienced general practitioners in a safe, clinical environment, in line with current Australian Government and ATAGI (Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation) recommendations.
Staying up to date with your COVID-19 vaccination may help reduce the risk of serious illness, particularly for older adults and those with certain health conditions. Our GPs can review your individual eligibility, medical history, and any questions you have before your vaccination.
Who Is Eligible for a COVID-19 Vaccine?
COVID-19 vaccination eligibility in Australia is guided by ATAGI recommendations, which are reviewed regularly. As of current 2025 guidelines, the following groups are recommended or eligible to receive COVID-19 vaccines:
- Adults aged 75 years and over — a dose every 6 months is recommended
- Adults aged 65–74 years — an annual dose is recommended, with 6-monthly doses available on a benefit–risk basis
- Adults aged 18–64 years with severe immunocompromise — an annual dose is recommended
- Other eligible adults — may choose to receive a dose based on an individual benefit–risk assessment with their GP
Eligibility and timing can change as health guidelines are updated. Your Bopple Surgery GP can review your current vaccination status and advise whether a dose is appropriate for you at this time.
Not sure if you're up to date? Your vaccination history is recorded on the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR). You can check your status through your Medicare Online Account, the Express Plus Medicare app, or by speaking with one of our GPs at your next appointment.

What Our COVID-19 Vaccination Service Includes
- Administration of TGA-approved COVID-19 vaccines for eligible patients
- Booster dose administration in line with current ATAGI recommendations
- Clinical review of your vaccination history and current eligibility
- Pre-vaccination health assessment and opportunity to discuss any concerns
- Recording of your vaccination on the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR)
- Option to receive your flu vaccine at the same appointment — co-administration is clinically supported by ATAGI for eligible patients aged 12 and over
